Diablo 3 armor sets crusader2/13/2024 ![]() ![]() In Greater Rifts speedfarming it loses to LoD Bombardment, while in T16 AoV Fist of the Heavens still reigns supreme. Overall, while the build was buffed by quite a few tiers and can now do everything decently well, it's only great for Solo Pushing. Of course, there's also some bad news: Condemn s triggered this way do not proc area damage, everything you are fighting will very quickly become CC-immune thanks to Judgment with all runes and no cooldown, and finally you are once again at the mercy of Pet AI (this seems to be a pattern with the buffs lately). With the new set you can trigger almost a hundred explosions per second! A huge increase compared to the measly 5-6 we could do before. The build now also includes Phalanx but the avatars themselves deal no damage, they are only here to proc Condemn s and reduce the cooldown on Akarat's Champion. Season 27 patch changed that with Akkhan rework, which made it into a set specifically focused on Condemn. Once the strongest in the game build for solo XP farming, for a long time it's been barely useful in T16, and even then, only if you have optimized gear and high Paragon. The completed armor took approximately eight working months to complete, and won “Best Use of Props / Armor” in the 2016 DragonCon Friday Night Costume Contest.Akkhan Condemn Crusader is the build that has been around for the longest time, created with the introduction of Frydehr's Wrath in Season 1. Photos of my progress are available in my “Armor of Akkhan” photo album on Facebook. Of course I also used various adhesives, gesso, and acrylic paints for finishing. Other materials used include expanding foam, paper clay, cast resin, brush on epoxy, various cotton and linen fabrics, Worbla TanspArt and battery powered LED’s. By far though, the most difficult piece to get just right were the Pauldrons. All in all, I used nearly three “extra large” sheets of the thermoplastic material for crafting this costume. The gloves have sixty individual knuckles, and even the skull-faced poleyns have 14 teeth per knee. I hand patterned, cut, formed, and bonded 114 individual “demon scales” which form various components of the armor. I really wanted the details of this costume to shine, and made every single piece count. ![]() It consists of thirty four individual pieces, thirty of which are made completely of double layers of Worbla. This costume is a true testament to how much I enjoy using Worbla’s Finest Art. ![]()
